Canadian Digital Media Network – Soft Landing Program

The CDMN Soft Landing program offers qualified, mature start-ups and scale-ups exposure to business opportunities outside of Canada. Companies can utilize this program to open new markets, close international sales, secure investment and connect with new partners abroad. Successful candidates will receive up to $4,000 CAD in reimbursable expenses to help offset transportation and accommodation costs. Companies landing at a co-working space, accelerator or incubator may also have the costs associated with workspace covered for up to three months. Both the location and the specific landing facility are always determined by the company based on their business needs and market pull. Qualification criteria include:

The Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) supports Canadian companies to pursue international research and development (R&D) collaboration with a foreign partner on projects that have the potential for commercialization. CIIP can help you find R&D partnerships in: Brazil China India Israel South Korea Who Can Apply? Canadian companies that are: incorporated, for-profit small or medium-sized enterprise seeking to develop new or improved products, services, or processes with a high potential for commercialization ready to collaborate on a R&D project with a foreign partners

Cape Breton Partnership-Export Growth Service

The Export Growth Service (EGS) is comprised of a Development Team, an Advisory Team, and an Export Intern, who together provide access to export-related services for businesses including counselling, mentoring, planning strategies, information, workshops, training, and advice on existing programming. Fulfilled through an annual Export Conference going on its second year, holding Export Round Tables across Cape Breton, a monthly newsletter known as the ‘Trading Post’, and one-on-one meetings with new and experienced exporters.

CME – Manufacturing Productivity Program

The Manufacturing Productivity Program is an initiative being offered to 32 N.S. qualifying companies looking to improve business performance through Lean productivity improvements. The program is designed to deploy dedicated Lean facilitators to deliver hands-on Lean training to all levels of employees within an organization. Participating companies are grouped into Lean leveraged learning networks according to geographic proximity
