Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA)

On November 30, 2018, Canada, the United States and Mexico signed the new Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), on the margins of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Buenos Aires. Parties are now undertaking their domestic process towards ratification and implementation of the CUSMA. The CUSMA outcomes preserve key elements of this trading relationship and incorporate new and updated provisions that seek to address 21st-century trade issues and promote opportunities for the nearly half a billion people who call North America home.

Canadian Signature Experiences

Co-managed by Destination Canada (DC) and thirteen provincial/territorial marketing organizations (PMOs) across Canada, the Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) program features a collection of visitor experiences that are best aligned to deliver internationally on the Canada Keep Exploring brand promise and drive international sales to Canadian tourism businesses. Destination Canada and Tourism Nova Scotia (TNS) will integrate the CSE collection into respective travel trade, marketing and media initiatives to raise awareness of Nova Scotia’s CSEs where it is advantageous to do so.

The Safety First Network will demonstrate Leadership by providing safe work environments for employees, distributing online newsletters to share with industry about safety related topics, highlight the work of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education and the Workers Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and showcase the safety champions in the Cape Breton region.
